Jasmina is an Associate Professor in Mathematical Modelling for Public Health Policy Support at the Pandemic Sciences Institute and a Lecturer in Probability and Statistics at The Queen’s College at the University of Oxford. Jasmina works closely with public health bodies and policy makers in the UK, including the UK Health Security Agency, to answer existing and emerging public health questions. Her team develops advanced agent-based models (ABMs), machine learning algorithms, and modular calibration toolkits to prepare for future pandemics. Her broader pathogen research includes seasonal and pandemic influenza, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), Mpox, Avian influenza, HIV and HPV.
Jasmina is also a Co-Director of the EPSRC Healthcare Data Science Centre for Doctoral Training at University of Oxford, a Fellow of The Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, of The Royal Statistical Society and of The Royal Society for Public Health and on the Advisory Body for the UK National Academy for Mathematical Sciences.
