Workshop CFP: 2nd International Workshop on Architecture-Based IoT and AI to support Public Health

We invite submissions of Workshop Papers for the “2nd International Workshop on Architecture-Based IoT and Artificial Intelligence to Support Public Health“.

This workshop explores how IoT architectures and artificial intelligence can be leveraged to enhance digital public health through smarter monitoring, data fusion, and predictive analytics. Building on the success of its first edition at DPH2025, the second International Workshop on Architecture-Based IoT and Artificial Intelligence to Support Public Health will feature two 90-minute sessions: oral presentations of original research and recent scientific contributions, followed by a mini panel with invited industry experts discussing technological developments and their real-world implications. The workshop aims to foster dialogue between researchers and practitioners, offering valuable insights into emerging technologies that strengthen and support public health systems worldwide.

Themes of interest

The organizers encourage authors to submit an original paper or an extended abstract on the following topics (including, but not limited to):

  • General Machine Learning Algorithms to support public health;
  • Digital public system incorporating the Internet of Things;
  • Emerging technologies to communication systems;
  • Wearable Biomedical Sensors and Biomedical Signal Processing;
  • Health Informatics and Biomedical Engineering for Society;
  • Strategies based on sensor data fusion and multimodal data integration applied to digital public health applications;
  • Explainable artificial intelligence to improve decision-making process of digital public health.

Submission guidelines

We encourage the authors to submit an option full paper or extended abstract. The accepted paper/ abstract will be invited to an oral presentation session and will be included in the DPH 2026 proceedings – abstracts in Frontiers and full papers will be submitted for possible inclusion into IEEE Xplore.

For submitting a Full Paper, please follow the instructions:

  • All submissions must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.
  • The papers must range between 4‐8 pages, including references and any appendices.
  • Papers should conform to the IEEE double column format: https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html
  • Papers must be anonymized: the names and affiliations removed, and any references to previous works either substituted with “anonymized” or rephrased.
  • All submissions must be submitted in PDF format using the Easychair submission system. Click on the submission button below and choose the “DPH 2026 – 2nd IoT in Public Health Workshop” track.
  • Please paste your Abstract in the Abstract field in the Easychair system for ease of processing and review allocation.

Note that:

  • All accepted papers will have their own DOI;
  • Accepted papers will need to incorporate reviewers’ comments and re-submit their paper by the Camera-Ready deadline. Instructions will be provided;
  • Papers accepted for publication must have at least one author registered and must be presented in person at the conference in order to be published by IEEE;
  • Papers from no-show authors will be removed from the proceedings;
  • An accepted paper may be selected for either oral or poster presentation, depending on review score and topic specificity.

For submitting an Extended Abstract, please follow the instructions:

  • Please format your submission using Times New Roman, 12 pt font size, and Justified alignment. The total length should not exceed 1000 words (including references), and you may include a maximum of two figures or tables.
  • Extended Abstracts could follow the standard structure: Aims/Abstract/Overview, Background, Methods, Results and Conclusions. Alternatively, computer science abstracts can follow a freerer headings structure.
  • All submissions must be submitted in PDF format using the Easychair submission system. Click on the submission button below and choose the “DPH 2026 – 2nd IoT in Public Health Workshop” track.
  • Paste your first section (Aims/Abstract/Overview) to the Abstract field in the Easychair system for ease of processing and review allocation.
