Micaela Vieira holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and a Master’s degree in Management. Since 2017, she has been working closely with Startup Madeira, actively contributing to the regional entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem.
As Project Manager since 2018, she has been involved in strategic ideation and acceleration programs such as startNOW, start4TECH, Tourism Innovation Challenge, EIT Food – Madeira Entrepreneurs Day, Blue Economy initiatives (BEE and HUB Azul Madeira), InnoMedCatalyst and HealthChain – Community of Practice, and acts as Local Ambassador at Portugal Tech Week. She frequently contributes as a speaker, moderator, and event host, having co-facilitated over 30 events. She co-coordinated five editions of the Madeira Startup Retreat, an international acceleration program for travel and tourism startups, which welcomed 60 startups, over 170 entrepreneurs, 25 local hosts and 80+ mentors. Micaela is also involved in the Digital Nomads Madeira Islands project, launched in 2020, which received over 20,500 registrations and achieved international visibility through global conferences, academic studies, and over 200 media features.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Micaela is passionate about travel planning and exploring the world, as well as discovering movies and books, and the stories behind people and places: always driven by curiosity and connection.
