Dr Menelaos Pavlou has methodological and applied experience in risk prediction modelling. He has developed methodology for the development and validation of prediction models and has authored two relevant R packages. He has experience with traditional maximum likelihood regression methods, penalised methods (e.g. LASSO), and Machine Learning techniques (e.g. Random Forests). He works closely with researchers from cardiology and is interested in the development of models for rare events/diseases.
