Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC)

Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) was founded in 1995 in Catalonia as one of the world’s first fully online universities. Since its creation, the UOC has pioneered the use of digital technologies to provide flexible, accessible and high-quality higher education, supporting lifelong learning and widening access to university education.

Today, the UOC is an international university with students, alumni and collaborators across Spain, Latin America and Europe. As coordinator of the OpenEU alliance, the first pan-European open university alliance, the UOC contributes to advancing innovation in higher education. Through its integrated approach to education, research and knowledge transfer, the University seeks to address societal challenges and contribute to the public good in an increasingly digital world.
