We’re kicking off DPH 2025 with a warm Madeiran welcome! Join us in the heart of Funchal to discover the fascinating story of Madeira Wine, savour its unique flavours, and enjoy delicious local snacks in a charming setting. This relaxed evening offers a great opportunity to mingle with fellow participants in a casual and friendly atmosphere.

Participants are kindly asked to arrange their own transportation to the venue.

🍽️ Gala Dinner – A Taste of Madeira
Date: 25 July 2025
Time: 7PM (Meeting point in front of VidaMar hotel); 7:30 PM – 22:30 PM (Dinner)
Location: A Parreira restaurant
Experience a magical Madeiran evening during our Gala Dinner! Enjoy a traditional menu featuring espetada – succulent beef grilled on bay laurel sticks – along with milho frito (crispy fried cornmeal) and other regional favourites. The evening will be enriched with a vibrant folklore performance showcasing local music and dance, bringing together flavours and culture in a memorable celebration.
Transport arrangements:
To ensure a smooth experience for all attendees, we’ve arranged bus transportation for the Gala Dinner. Meeting point is in front of the VidaMar Hotel at 7PM.
