Francesc Saigí is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) and Director of the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre in Digital Health. His research focuses on the design, implementation and evaluation of digital health services, especially telemedicine, to improve access, quality of care and health system efficiency. At UOC, he has led the Master’s Degree in Telemedicine and currently leads the development of the Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering. He works closely with WHO regions to support governments in developing frameworks, planning tools and strategies for implementing telemedicine and strengthening health system preparedness and resilience.
