Kana Halić Kordić

Kana Halić Kordić is a final-year medical student at the University of Zagreb and the Vice President for External Affairs of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA), representing 1.5 million medical students worldwide. Her work focuses on global health, digital health policy, youth engagement, and health workforce education.

Kana has represented IFMSA at major global health fora, including the World Health Assembly, WHO Executive Board Meeting, PMAC, the United Nations General Assembly, and the World Health Summit, advocating for meaningful youth participation in health decision-making. She serves as the Major Group for Children and Youth (MGCY) Focal Point for SDG 3 and is a member of the WHO Youth Council Working Group on Health Literacy and Patient Safety. She previously sat on the Executive Council of the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME).

Her interests span digital health, medical education, and health system strengthening. Through advocacy, research, and capacity building, Kana works to bridge the gap between young health professionals and global decision-makers.
