Dr Athanasios Bakalakos is a Clinical Research Fellow at the UCL Institute of Cardiovascular Science and St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, UK. He has clinical experience in the management of patients with inherited and acquired cardiomyopathies and in the development and implementation of prediction models. He focuses on evaluating their clinical utility and application in selecting patients for inclusion in randomised clinical trials in rare diseases and low-event settings, with the aim of improving trial design.
