Rossana Alessandrello is an electronic engineer specialized in bioengineering and Director of Value-Based Procurement at AQuAS (Catalonia). She coordinates the Value-Based Procurement Subcommittee of Catalonia’s Department of Health, co-created and leads iRaise, and co-coordinates the Global Health Connector’s AI Procurement Ecosystem. Her work focuses on pathways for adopting innovation in healthcare, including maturity evaluation, pre-commercial and innovative procurement, and value-based procurement. Since 2020, she has been a visiting professor at the University of Barcelona. Since 2024, she lectures in the EIT Health program. She also serves on multiple international advisory and governance boards.
