Dr Stephen Roberts is a researcher in global health and risk governance whose work examines how societies understand and respond to health threats. His research focuses on global health security, crisis governance, and the social and political dynamics that shape public health responses.Dr Roberts’ work explores how communities, governments, and institutions interpret risk and navigate uncertainty during outbreaks and emergencies. His research is inherently interdisciplinary, bridging global health, sociology, political science, and science and technology studies. He has conducted comparative research across multiple countries, including Japan, Taiwan, and Uganda, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams spanning public health and the social sciences.
