Ann Borda is Associate Professor in the Centre for Health Policy (Melbourne School of Global and Public Health) at The University of Melbourne and she is an Ethics Fellow in the Public Policy Programme at the Alan Turing Institute in London. Ann focuses on digital health informatics, AI policy and responsible innovation in the public sector and emerging models of digitally-enabled public healthcare. Ann has also held directorial positions in government-funded data-intensive research and innovation initiatives in Australia and the UK. She was CEO of an academic partnership for Advanced Computing in Australia, and Executive Director of an Australian government funded $11m innovation seed program resulting in co-created pilot projects supporting a range of digital health transformation areas, including chronic disease management, genomics research, healthy aging, and telehealth consultations . In the UK, Ann managed a major Research Councils co-funded eScience programme of the Joint Information Systems Committee supporting research innovation tools and national digital services for higher education.
