We invite proposals for workshops, tutorials and panels to be held at DPH 2025
The DPH 2025 will accommodate a set of collocated workshops covering relevant cutting edge topics, experiment with novel interactive formats and expand the audience participating in the event.
Workshops and tutorials will be held on Day 1 of the conference on 24th July 2025. The expected size of the workshop / tutorial event is to attract at least 10 participants (half day), at least 20 participants (full day).
Panels are expended to be held during the main conference 25-26th July and should bring together very serious speakers from diverse backgrounds debating a cutting edge topic that will attract participants from a number of backgrounds (specially non-academics) to attend the conference.
Workshop submission
- A concise title
- The names, affiliations, and contact information of ALL organizers
- Proposed duration of the workshop – half or full day (the organizers reserve the right to adjust the time requested to accommodate wider variety of events)
- A statement of the workshop objectives, themes and topics
- A brief description (draft outline) of the proposed workshop format, discussing the mix of events and activities such as paper presentations, invited talks, panels, or general discussion slots, and an approximate timeline
- A tentative Program Committee list (with an indication of whether PC members have already been contacted and/or have expressed interest)
- Please take into account inclusion and diversity criteria while listing the PC
- A brief description of the workshop audience and the expected number of submissions/participants (please be as specific as possible)
- If the workshop was held before, please give details on the location and dates, number of participants, number of submissions, and number of accepted papers, and indicate how the proposed edition will differ from earlier editions
- A short bio of the workshop organizers, including a description of their relevant qualifications and past experience in organizing workshops or research meetings
- Poster session (if you plan a poster session, the organizers reserve the right to merge this with the main DPH 2025 poster session for logistical reasons)
We also encourage the submission of workshops that do not follow the typical workshop format of a mini-conference:
- A Speed Dating Workshop (pairs of attendees talk to each other for a few minutes about their scientific work, etc.)
- Brainstorms and discussion formats
- Round Tables
Tutorials submission
- A concise title
- The names, affiliations, and contact information of ALL organizers
- Proposed duration of the tutorial- session (1.5hours) or half day
- A statement of the tutorial objectives
- A brief description (draft outline) of the proposed format, lecture-style, group work, hands-on tutorial etc.
- A brief description of the workshop audience and the expected number of participants (please be as specific as possible)
- If the tutorial was held before, please give details on the location and dates, number of participants
- A short bio of the organizers, including a description of their relevant qualifications and past experience in organizing tutorials
Panel Submission
- A concise title
- The names, affiliations, and contact information of ALL organizers
- A statement of the panel objectives
- A brief description of the proposed format – short keynote followed by debate etc. The organizers reserve the right to combine panels and adjust members to better meet the strategic aims of the conference and accommodate a variety of speakers from EDI perspective
- A brief description of the audience
- If such panel was held before, please give details on the location and dates, number of participants
- A short bio of the chair, and all proposed panelists, including a description of their relevant qualifications and previous keynote / invited panelists participations
Publication
Workshop and Tutorial Overviews will be published as an DPH 205 Abstract Book in Frontiers Digital Public Health Journal (currently being discussed)
Long / short papers from Workshops will be published in the DPH 2025 Proceedings by IEEE (application currently under review).
