Simon Lewerenz, PhD candidate at ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon, specialises in digital health interoperability and education. He works on European Commission-funded projects supporting the European Health Data Space (EHDS), holds management degrees from ESCP Europe and Católica Lisbon, and specialises through a second Master’s in Digital Transformation in the Health Sector and a PhD at ISCTE, Portugal. He focuses on interdisciplinary approaches to foster adoption of the European Electronic Health Records Exchange Format (EEHRxF) and reskill/upskill workforces with interoperability-related competences. As part of the XiA (Xpanding Innovative Alliance) project, he joins the conference to gather insights from public health audiences on integrating interoperability into HEI and VET and on the XiA micro-contents framework and its scope.
